ACI UK would like to invite you to the ACI UK Square Mile Debate 2012. This follows on from the extremely successful inaugural ACI UK Square Mile Debate 2011 that featured a panel made up of Sharon Bowles (MEP), Alan Bozian (CLS), Thomas Soede (BNP) and Gavin Wells (LCH.Clearnet). The topic of the debate centred on regulation and the panel were expertly managed by the moderator, Jennifer Hughes (FT).
The ACI UK Square Mile Debate 2012 will bring together key players in the currency markets for an evening of debate centred around the buy-side who have a high percentage of the flows in the FX market but a disproportionate low representation in the rules and regulation. While the title of the debate is "My Flow, Your Rules, The Buy Side Bites Back", we expect a plethora of relevant market topics to be discussed.
The speaker panel this year consists of Sven Carlsson (Head of Markets at Ericsson Treasury Services AB), Wolfgang Koester (CEO at FIREapps Inc), Gavin Wells (MD FX, LCH.Clearnet) and another headline speaker that will be announced shortly. The debate will be facilitated by a Joel Clark, Editor of FX Week who will ensure fair and unbiased commentary, while stimulating good debate.
The discussion will start at 6.15pm (doors open from 5.30pm; with refreshments) and will conclude with a drinks reception from 7.30pm.
ACI Members only, pre-registration required. If you would like to attend, please send an email to jane.exall(at)aci-uk.com. Registered individuals will be offered the chance to submit questions in advance of the event and might be called upon by the moderator to ask to the panel during the evening.
For ACI UK membership please email membership(at)aci-uk.com for further details.
We look forward to seeing you on the 2nd February 2012.
