Alan Attwood - support Stuart Attwood's run for Alzheimer's Society

We are very sad to report that Alan Attwood, stalwart supporter of the ACI-UK, a committee member for many, many years, and ex UK president, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. (As was his mother before him). In honour of his father, and to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society - the support and research charity for people with dementia, and their families and carers (www.alzheimers.org.uk) - Stuart Attwood (son) is running the Virgin London Marathon on 22 April 2012

In recognition of Alan’s commitment to ACI-UK and his own contribution over the years to our own charitable efforts (most notably the Sunshine Coach Appeal of Royal Variety Club of Great Britain, where he became a Barker after retiring from WestLB), we are delighted to make a contribution towards Stuart’s fund-raising effort. We hope that Alan’s ACI colleagues – UK and beyond - will also dig deep in support of the Alzheimer’s Society and its ongoing challenge to fight for a better world for people with dementia.
